Terrence W. August

Assistant Professor of Innovation, Technology & Operations

Dr. August received his Ph.D. in the field of operations, information & technology from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University in 2007. His research broadly spans information systems and operations management with current interests in the economics of network software, production and service management, pricing and policy associated with network goods, and the interaction of digital piracy and security risk.

Dr. August has teaching experience at the MBA level, having been involved with both core and elective courses in Stanford's MBA program. These courses include "Operations Management," "Revenue Optimization" and "Technology and Markets." He has also assisted with Stanford's executive education series on supply chains and financial management.

Dr. August has co-founded two information technology start-up companies and worked in research and development and operations for the Clorox Company. He has consulted for Honeywell, GlaxoSmithKline, Herbalife and Time Warner Cable.

Dr. August joined the innovation, technology and operations faculty and teaches in both Rady School MBA programs.
