From Idea to Marketplace

Lab to Market (L2M) is the capstone of the Rady MBA program. This three-course sequence begins in the classroom and moves into a project-based environment. It is an immersion, going beyond a single class or a simulated exercise to create an experience in spotting and tapping new business opportunities.

Which ideas are worth taking to market? Which opportunities should you or your company pursue? How are developments in technology changing your business model?

As a FlexMBA, you have the opportunity to engage in a project of strategic importance for your company, raising your visibility and value internally. Or you can pursue an entrepreneurial idea. Or join a group working on a classmate's great idea or company project.

Some innovations have the potential to create new business units or companies. Some are worth developing far enough to license. Or to create a joint venture or strategic partnership. Some should be developed for product extension or new product launch. And some should be dropped.

You tap into the expertise, imagination and creativity of your classmates and learn what is driving change in their industries and companies. You work in teams, alongside faculty and business experts and coaches.

The Result?

Business plans for intrapreneurial or entrepreneurial ventures. And if your idea has potential, your team can extend it for another quarter.
