Rady Student Organizations

The Rady School is a student-driven environment, where active participation is assumed and partnership in creating a great educational experience is the norm. You will be able to make interesting things happen for yourself and your classmates.

The Rady Student Association works in partnership with the student body and the school to identify opportunities. Rady clubs and organizations extend beyond the standard MBA clubs. They create great learning experiences for Rady students and connect them to the business and research communities.

Rady's Life-Tech Club brings speakers to Otterson Hall, but also travels, visiting research labs, technology centers and entrepreneurial organizations across campus and in the San Diego community. Site visits have included companies like Sony, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Quidel and DJ Ortho, as well as facilities like the San Diego Supercomputer Center, Scripps Institution of Oceanography research labs, the Engelkirk Structural Engineering Center and the California Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology.

Leadership Lab focuses on providing opportunities for Rady MBAs to hone leadership and communication skills. Small-group sessions emphasize experiential learning and have highlighted professional skills like networking and presentation.

Our Net Impact chapter reaches across campus and engages students from other graduate disciplines that touch issues of sustainability - and has been lauded by the national organization for its innovation. The Triton Innovation Network, a cross-campus organization founded by a team including Rady students, works to create innovation-focused networks among students across all disciplines at UC San Diego and organizes the annual UCSD $50,000 Business Plan Competition. Among last year's competition winners: an all-Rady team in second place and a cross-disciplinary team including a Rady student in first place.
